Clearing up some more dancing rumors...

So apparently those rumors about Kirstie Alley joining are not true. Even though she is pretty funny, I'm not totally bummed about NOT seeing her!

There have also been several more 'leaks' as to who else will be joining..... At this point people don't even have to watch the "press conference" tonight. We practically know all the dancers by now!

Ok, onto those leaks, the two rumored ladies are comedian Margaret Cho-- so funny! And Jennifer Grey. Yes, Baby from Dirty Dancing! She's apparently going to be paired with Derek Hough. Another female rumor I read about was Florence Henderson aka Mrs Brady. She seems to always be a rumor, every. season. We'll see if it's true this season??

As far as the guys, there are two that have been confirmed. Singer Michael Bolton and NBA star Rick Fox.

Now to recap, so far we have The Situation, Audrina Patridge, Brandy, Bristol Palin, David Hasellhoff, Jennifer Grey, Margaret Cho, Michael Bolton and Rick Fox. Oh and also Flo if that rumor comes true! So if you were counting that's 9 to 10 of the possible cast. Which is kind of lame if you ask me since they are supposed to announce 12 'stars'. I don't think I remember any previous season having SO many leaks before!

Snooze..... a new "dancer" is revealed.

I imagine everyone has heard of this one by now.... Bristol Palin will be joining DWTS this season. Yawn..... is it possible for someone to have less personality then Kate Gosselin?? Maybe she can prove me wrong and let her 'personality' shine on the show but I doubt it!

So far, this season has a slew of reality star type of people. With the "Situation", Audrina, Brandy (who's a singer but does have a reality show) and the Hoff because let's face it.. nobody considers him as a real actor!! I'm just hoping Ali (the bachelorette) and her fiance Roberto aren't joining.. I'm over ABC/DWTS doing that whole crossover thing!!

Once again, the rest of cast will be revealed Monday night during the Bachelor Pad!

A couple more "dancers" on board.

We're gonna find out all of the cast before it's even officially revealed! Just because I like to update with the latest news, I just read online that Kirstie Alley is set to join (and possibly be paired w/Maks). Maybe if she sticks around long enough and makes a goal of losing a certain amount of lbs (b/c you know that's why she wants to join) then maybe she will do a dance in two piece bathing suit!

Remember when she did that on Oprah? It was just so weird and awkward! She had a two piece on but, she also had on these insane support hose that were extremely noticeable. She even draped herself in a massive scarf thing! I'm not saying I would have been comfortable but... I don't think it was what people were expecting!!

Guess who else?? The Hoff! That's right, non other than David Hasselhoff. I'm going to make a partner prediction for him since that info wasn't leaked.... I think he may get Anna Demidova. She was the blonde Russian girl that was paired with Michael Irvin. The reason I choose her is because she is the tallest female dancer and the Hoff is like 6'4".

p.s. I thought I would add that this was my 666th post on the blog! I need to hurry and think of something else to post so I can get it off of that number!! LOL

You mean... that's not your real accent??

Hello folks! Well, you know you can always rely on me to bring up some random topic to discuss and this one definitely falls under that category!! It's all about accents and when people try to pull the wool over your eyes by not speaking in their native tongue, so to speak! Haha, I made a pun......

Anywho, I know many, many of my friends watch True Blood (as do we) and there are tons of tricky people on that show. Of course Vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer) is British and just newly married to Anna Paquin! I heard him speak on the red carpet @ the Emmy's last year and I loved it! He's just SO English and proper sounding in real life (and really funny too) but on the show he has that Civil War era accent. Can't we all agree that we love to hear Bill say, Sookie is mine in that accent too?! teehee!!!

Another fan fave from TB is Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). Now, he's Swedish but the interviews I have seen of him I can't really hear much of an accent. To me, he sounds shockingly American! You may also remember seeing him in Lady GaGa's Paparazzi video, speaking what I assume was Swedish in the beginning?  Either way, Eric's character has totally grown and me and I can't wait to hear more from him :) p.s. Today is Alexander's birthday, he is turning 34!!

The other main guy on the show is of course Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten). He sure does play 'dummy' really well with his Southern boy accent. Outside of TB Ryan is actually Australian. I found that out about a season into the show and that one really surprised me! Australian seems to be a hard one to cover up and he does it really well, in my opinion! He has a movie coming out and the trailer has just been released and in the movie you can hear him sounding like a real Australian guy! ;)
           Trailer for Red Hill

One last True Blood related person/accent was a character from this season. If you aren't up to date on this season you may or may not want to continue reading... it won't give anything away, just expect to see this face some during season 3 :) Anywho, it's James Frain. I first saw him in Home is Where the Heart Is w/Natalie Portman. Remember? It's the Walmart baby movie! Well, he played good 'ole Forney in that movie and I never would have guessed he was English.... until I saw him in The Tudors. That's when I decided to look him up b/c his British accent just sounded too authentic, know what I mean?? He didn't have to do much accent wise for True Blood considering he plays Brit-ish vampire Franklin ;) I loved his intensity as Franklin!!

If you aren't totally True Blood'd out on me I have one more.... that's not related to TB in any way at all! Now, I've seen this guy in a couple movies and never thought anything about his accent in movies (or lack thereof). Until a few days ago I read an article about him and it said he was a British actor blah, blah blah... What? He's British? I'm speaking of Idris Elba. Personally I like this guy, I think he's pretty cute and very manly at the same time. I loved him in Daddy's Little Girls, oops maybe I should correct that and put Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls! That guy loves his name in the movie titles, doesn't he?? He was also in Obsessed with Beyonce and Ali Larter. I guess since I saw him in those two movies where he plays a regular Joe father/husband it surprised me to find out he wasn't American!

I love him but Gerard Butler can't seem to shake his Scottish accent. Didn't you think King Leonidas (in 300) had a very strange Scottish-y sounding accent?! Along with the other roles he has done! No hard feelings Gerry but, if Kevin McKidd (Dr. Hunt on Grey's Anatomy) can do it (drop the Scot).... you can too!!! ;)

You may not be as easily amused as I am but I had to share. I think it shows real talent when someone can completely mask their 'original accent' and do something totally different. I know we've all seen {for example} when people try do an English accent and fail miserably. It just makes it difficult to get into that character and make it believable. Has there been anyone that has totally surprised you? Maybe a woman? I didn't seem to get any ladies on this list... Remember when Britney Spears was a little bit cuckoo and tried to speak with a British accent all the time?? LOL That's was a perfect example of a 'bad'!!! Maybe you can suggest a 'good' accent change for women...

DWTS Cast Rumors.....

Dancing with the Stars season 11 will be starting very soon and the BIG announcement or I believe they are calling it a 'press conference' this time around will be August 30th during the Bachelor Pad.

It always happens before the cast reveal but there are already names coming out that sound like they will more than likely be on the show. The first two I heard about were Audrina Patridge from the Hills and Brandy, singer and actress.

Audrina                                                                                                    Brandy

Now for the third one I heard about it..... it pains me a little bit to say this but it's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino of Jersey Shore fame. Oh boy! I wonder who he will be paired with?? I hope it's not Edyta, bless her heart. Can you imagine the oggling he would be doing if she were his partner?! LOL He needs to be paired with someone who won't take any of his CRAP! Like Anna Trebunskaya ;)

The Situation

That's it for now folks. I hope when they make the announcement we find out their partners too! August 30th is the night, I'm sure all of you will be tuning into Bachelor Pad no matter what though, right??.... I will be ;)

2 month break.

That's pitiful! I haven't posted on my blog for 2 whole months! That's the longest break ever in my blog history. It's not that stuff isn't going on or that I don't have things to say but the convenience of Facebook is pretty dangerous (to blogs that is). It's so easy to 'share' an article or video, then get your friends reactions right then and there! It's a lame excuse I know but it's so true.

Also, the older Landon gets the harder it is for me to find time to sit down  in peace and quiet and just blog. Usually the "spare" time I have (when he is sleeping) I eat lunch and catch up on some good trashy reality tv. Sad but true! Nothing like sitting down for a little quiet lunch to myself and maybe an episode of Real Housewives of fill in the blank!! I'm really gonna make an attempt to not neglect my blog... pinky swear!

As far as new and exciting things that our happening in our lives.... we're expecting baby #2 in March 2011!! But if you are a friend or family member than you of course probably already know that thanks to FB ;)
I think the fun thing about having a blog though is being able to look back and see what I was talking about at a certain time or what was going on in our lives during a specific month. Facebook serves it's purpose for posting pictures and sharing your status but the blog just makes it feel so much more personal!

There you have it... I'm gonna vow to blog more. Even if I only get around to posting once a week it's alot more than I have been recently!! Am I right?!

From the video vault.

I was looking at some of our old videos that were uploaded to the computer but never published to a blog. While I was 'looking back' I came across this funny one of Landon, the dogs and a laser pointer (from April)!! In the video is of course Landon, Shiloh and my mom's pocket boxer Sophie! Watch, to listen to the best laugh ever! Baby belly laughs are so contagious! ;)

Random thought of the day.

I don't how or where I came up with this but, that's the point of it being a random thought I guess! So anyways, I was just pondering....

do you think PETA members/supporters have exterminators come to their house? I mean seriously, they don't support the harm of poor defenseless animals. Don't bugs and rodents fall into that category?! Think about that one.....

I myself have nothing against the exterminator visit... living in Louisiana we have all kinds of creepy crawlies especially the spider variety!! Like wolf spiders with babies on their back and black widows.... Homey don't play dat!!

Viral Video Kid.

If you are up on the hottest (popular) viral videos then you may have seen this already but if not here it is... sorta. The video is of 12 year old Greyson Chance playing the piano and singing Lady Gaga's Paparazzi. Which, I have to admit I have had a recent change of heart on my feelings for Gaga. In the past I thought she was so kooky and out there but had a great voice.... I do still think she is pretty kooky but I'm loving her songs right now :) Yes, I know I'm late to the game!!

Anyways, back to the video. The one I have posted is not the original one but, instead his performance from Ellen's show today. If you skip past the interview part then I'll fill you in.. Gaga calls in and tells him he is such a talent, he also mentions having had piano lessons like his whole life but NO voice lessons. I really enjoyed him even though he did hit a rough note at the end. Poor kid is gonna be out of luck when his voice 'changes' though!! LOL

Also, I have posted this once before on Facebook but I l-o-v-e it!! It's Adam Lambert's acoustic version of 'Whataya Want From Me' on some Australian morning show. :) It's already a good song but something about it done acoustically is greatness.... I miss you Adam Lambert, Idol is/will never be the same w/out you!!

Hey there stanger!

Yeah, yeah, yeah I don't blog anymore-- sue me!! When you have facebook to share your thoughts & feelings your blog just gets the cold shoulder. Let's see {in a nutshell} we'll discuss what has happened the past few weeks!

On the DWTS front Jake, Pamela and Niecy have all been sent home. I have to be honest I'm watching but on a very delayed schedule. The Monday night performance show I usually watch the next morning/day and the results are really pitiful... if I even see it at all it's because the West Coast showing is the one to be recorded. Although Idol is a bit of a snooze fest and there's Glee and tons of other shows, DWTS has just lost it's 'top billing' in my shows to watch! While we're on it, Nicole & Evan will {& should} be the top 2 and I'm guessing Nicole will take the trophy. I was pretty close with the prediction when I said Evan could win :)

Also, during the time that has past we have gotten a newly crowned America's Next Top Model.... Krista!! In the end, I think she really did deserve it. She had some fantabulous photos!! She continued to improve tons while Raina began to fall behind a little.

Micah had a birthday, he turned 28 on the 28th to be exact!! We 'celebrated' the weekend before and also on his birthday. So I of course made a "cake" for each celebration. For the weekend get together I made a "real" cake. A 2-layer, Texas shaped, German Chocolate creation!
Then on his real birthday I made the Paleo friendly Gorilla Cake! Cause y'all know Micah isn't trying to eat German Chocolate cake every. single. night. If we could, it would be delicious though... wouldn't it?!

And since I'm doing a photo update at this point, here was his present! Don't judge me I know it looks small.... and lame but, his real birthday treat (for himself) were the new tires {and lift} for the truck.
A Man's Birthday Basket!! Beef Jerky, generous supply of Caveman Cookies, nuts and some beer, Shiner 101 (which is DELICIOUS).

Btw, we also got a trampoline recently but I have yet to get any good 'tramp pics'!!! It may help to not be on the trampoline to get those ;) Seriously it has been so fun acting like young'uns and going out there to jump! Landon is really enjoying it too. He'll get in his 'squat mode' then say jump! jump!!

Goodbye for now, hope to blog sooner rather than later.

DWTS thoughts.

Well, this isn't gonna be a recap. If you aren't watching by now then you are probably never gonna start! And if you do watch, why do you need a recap? Haha!! So last night the contestants danced either the Samba or Argentine Tango, my personal favorite dance!

The judges really nailed Evan for his Samba, saying it was too balletish?? So his scores weren't awesome. Nicole did well but I think Len is bothered by her or maybe Derek. He seems to hold out the high scores for them when it doesn't make sense sometimes! Erin is getting annoying to me... and looking at her freakishly long arms and legs is too! I'm sorry.... ;)

As far as who is going home tonight, I think Jake & Pamela could be in the bottom two. Considering Jake's improvement though, it could be Niecy in his spot (along w/Pam).

Oh Happy Day!!!

Last night was the night Kate was finally kicked off of Dancing with the Stars!! Oh boy, I don't think there is anything else I have to say! What a relief, probably mostly for Tony!! LOL

Buh-Bye Kate!! We won't miss you.

Lights! Camera! Dancing!!!

Well it's Tuesday morning and could you believe I didn't even watch DWTS last night? I'm catching up this morning... as in watching & blogging!! The theme for this week's show is Movie Night! Meaning songs from movies and thier dances are inspired by the movie/song.

Up first is Niecy & Louis- They have La Bamba and are dancing the jive. Poor Niecy... she is having tons of fun and really putting her all into it but this dance is too fast for her! I would say the performance side was great  considering her sass and personality but the technique was lacking :(                             6-6-6=18

Ochocinco & Cheryl- These two are doing a quickstep to the Jungle Book. The judges were saying his frame and footwork were pretty messy but I didn't really even notice any major flubs... And the saga continues as to whether or not they are a couple!!                                                                 6-6-6=18

Erin & Maks are taking on the jive set to Pulp Fiction. I've never seen this movie... I know about the whole dance scene with Uma and John Travolta though. Without actually seeing the real movie their little reenactment was really good. It was probably her best dance to date.                                   7-7-8=22

Jake & Chelsie are doing the the cha cha cha to Risky Business. Um... and if you didn't see it he did start the dance in a white shirt and tightie whities!! Holy crap that was just awkward tv!! I mean, he looked good but it was weird!! It was a good cha cha but he did mess up a bit at one point. I think the judges should give him some decent scores though.... he should get brownies points for being in his undies!!             8-7-8=23

If you weren't keeping count, Jake & Chelsie have the highest score of the night so far............

Pamela & Damian are doing a quickstep to 9 to 5. Way to go out on a limb having Pamela do Dolly!! ;) Who doesn't love Dolly though?!  Maybe it's just me but I thought it was pretty slow for a quick step. She is really improving and doing surprisingly well.                                                                                7-6-8=21

Kate & Tony are doing the foxtrot with music from The Breakfast Club. Great movie, right?! Ugh the rehearsal footage only reminds us of what a whoopin' Kate really is. All he asks of her is for more energy but she has ZERO!! Her performance is so dead. She does always remember to plaster on that phony smile though ;)                                                                                                                                 5-5-5=15

Nicole and Derek are doing a tango to Pretty Woman. I'm actually pretty surprised that she came out in the red gown as opposed to the hooker boots and mini dress! Haha!!! Is that wrong?? I'm still (and probably will never) be on board with her but, that dance was really good :)                                               10-9-10=29

Evan and Anna did a rumba with Armageddon as their movie. It was exactly what I think a Rumba should look like... for whatever that's worth.  It was an excellent dance. Nicole and Evan are the ones always at the top of the leader board so we'll see where the judges put them with their scores.....                9-9-9=27

They are behind Nicole & Derek just by hair! I just like Evan so much more but his hair is starting to bother me a little!! lol

As far as who should go home.... the obvious answer is Kate but that more then likely won't happen. She did pull the 'kid card' tonight by saying they live for watchinng mommy dance every Monday! Gag!!!! Jake and Pamela are the only ones (out of the remaining cast) who have already been in the 'bottom two territory'. So maybe it could come down to them in the bottom? Or possibly Niecy due to her scores... We shall see tonight!

"The world of fabric remnants."

The post title goes to the best quote of the night and the show just started! Tom Bergeron was the one who said it and I think he could have been referring to Edyta and her backless bra with sleeves a sleeve!! As I mentioned in the previous post all the promos are calling it the 'sexiest show of the season'. That's because the dances tonight are the Tango and the Rumba.

Up first is Erin & Maks (Tango)- I'm guessing Maks told her to keep her face intense and Tango-y but instead it looks like smelled-a-fart face! I thought the dance was nice but the judges are being extra critical tonight since they are scoring the performance and the technical portion. That being said their scores weren't so hot...
 technical 6-6-6=18 performance 7-7-7=21

Evan & Anna (Tango)- Evan has some serious Saturday Night Fever hair going on... in addition to his disco shirt and gold chain! This poor guy with two broken toes is really working hard and it shows. He is really improving, this was a fun tango :)
technical 9-8-9=26 performance 9-8-9=26

So now a couple pros (Kym & Dmitry) are showing us what the Rumba is supposed to look like.... Tom makes another remark about the wardrobe budget because Kym LITERALLY has lingerie on!! Bra and underwear with a man's white dress shirt over it! Micah chimes in with.. this is supposed to be a family show?! LOL

Niecy & Louis (Rumba)- It's starts off kinda stiff and stayed that way. She just didn't have that "fluidity" that the judges look for in a Rumba. Niecy gets pretty emotional after this dance also since she dedicated it to her brother who has passed away.
technical 6-6-6=18 performance 6-6-6=18

Aiden & Edyta (Rumba)- This guy seems to be trying hard but is just NOT getting any better. Which makes it kind of ho-hum to watch him dance! Plus the song they are dancing to is really annoying!!
technical- 5-5-5=15 performance 6-6-6=18

Nicole & Derek (Rumba)- Well, I figured this was going to be good. She's a good dancer but I'm just not on board with the Puusy Cat Doll, she totally has the upper hand with the choreography. The judges didn't think it was all that great either..
technical 9-8-8=25 performance 8-8-9=25
Jake & Chelsie (Tango)- I sort of feel like Jake is the forgettable one out of this bunch but he's good. I think he is a ton better than Aiden. Bless his heart he slipped on Chelsie's dress at one point and you could see the immediate panic! He did a great job at recovering though. The guy judges weren't impressed with his moves but Carrie Ann liked and I did too.
technical 6-7-6=19 performance 7-6-6=19

Kate & Tony (Tango)- Holy Crap. All this woman does is stomp around and tries to call it dancing... They're dancing to 'For Your Entertainment' by Adam Lambert but these ballroom singers are killing me!! They are butchering tons of songs here recently it seems like it! All this performance does is make me drift off to la la land thinking about Adam being the mentor on AI tomorrow night!!!! Woo-hoo!!!
technical 4-5-5=14 performance 6-6-6=18

Chad & Cheryl (Rumba)- We know Chad was looking forward to doing this dance with Cheryl ;) It was good, he totally 'brought it' with this dance!! Do y'all wonder if they really are sweet on each other?? He gave her that ring and all, what's that supposed to mean? Oh, so Brooke even asks about the ring! His response is that it's a thank you to Cheryl for dealing with him for hours each day. Hmm...... Whether it's a real romance or show romance, do you realize that if they got married her name would be Cheryl Ochocinco?!?! LOL
technical 7-6-8=21 performance 8-7-8=23

Pamela & Damian (Rumba)- Wow, it was really good. She managed to reign in the overly sexy thing and keep it nice and decent. Another a.d.d. moment I had during their dance was why do all the ladies have to wear basically a bed sheet for the Rumba?? Weird...
technical 7-8-8=23 performance 8-7-9=24

As much as I enjoy this show there is SO much more happening on tv tomorrow night!! So my dvr will be recording the West Coast airing of DWTS. So I'll recap the cast off the next day ;) The performance show of AI and Glee totally trump the elimination show of DWTS, sorry..... :) Speaking of elimination, The obvious Kate should go home..... Aiden could be a possibility also.

Yeah, so.....

My last post was March 23rd. Can you say slacker? Ugh, it's not that bad! I only missed recapping one show I guess. Whoops.... Last week was actually a great week too, with the story telling dancing but I just got lazy. Plus the next day on Idol they did the Beatles so that just trumped everything! Now instead of taking notes during the show and taking 2 hours too long to post the recap the next day I am going to try and do it as I watch the show! Thank you sweet little laptop :) It should all work out just fine... hubby will be nearby to keep an eye on Landon while I take to the blog, instead of him watching Dora while I do it the next day-- don't judge me!! ;)

Now to recap so far we have lost Shannen Doherty and Buzz Aldrin. Could someone please tell me why Kate Gosselin is around?! She is awful, to say the least!! She has to go home this week, it's starting to get frustrating.. The DWTS Facebook page has all sorts of conspiracy theory comments about the network 'keeping' Kate on for drama. It is partly people who decide who stays and who goes but also partly the judges. So maybe they have a point?! Whatever it is her grumpy, cold, plastered smile butt needs to GO!!!

Also, tonight is being promo'd as the sexiest show of the season! Which means they are doing the Rumba and something else... can't remember! I'll be blogging later then!
