Last night we had a first (and probably last) occurrence in our backyard. I let the doggies out before we went to bed last night and as soon as that door opened Beaux was out before I could look down and of course the others followed with the quickness! Normally, if there is a bird in the yard Beaux thinks he is the one that is going to catch it but, he had a legitimate reason for taking off last night... it was a cute, brown white cotton-tailed bunny! Luckily that little guy did some crazy back and forth moves and avoided that dog pack. I figured they were going to get him but, maybe they need to change up their pack hunting style! They were literally all staggered side by side and I think that's how the rabbit must have gotten past.
When we are on walks and see one, Micah is the first to "unleash the hounds" to let them get after it so you know who the hunter is in our family. While I'm standing there like don't catch it, don't catch it.... I'm sorry I just don't want to imagine one of our dogs after they get that rabbit, eew! Every time we go down this particular street (the one where we have always seen bunnies) Shiner starts prancing and looking to his left, keeping his eyes peeled! Needless to say, I try to avoid that street if possible since I'm preggers and by myself, I don't want to be pulled by my 95lb doggy to catch a rabbit! (and 83lb & 85lb dogs on top of that)!!
