Should make for an emotional Idol.

As I'm sure all of you have heard David Cook's older half brother is dying of terminal cancer. This is his second go round with it, which started in his brain and has now spread to his spine. A while back when David's blood pressure was all crazy it led some people to think the stress of his ailing brother was to blame but, he said no it wasn't. Whatever the case it's really sad he has to mentally cope with his brother and be happy-go-lucky on Idol at the same time.

So, I heard on some show this morning that David's brother's 'last wish' was to come to an Idol taping even though his doctors advised against it, considering how bad his condition is. Apparently their hometown raised some money for a special flight (with nurses and equipment) so that he could fly out to LA to be there for the taping tonight. *tear* I'm not sure what David is singing tonight but, as soon as I find out I'll let you know! We could go out on a limb and say that it's something totally sappy like "Hero" or "I Can't Live" but, considering the circumstances the sap would be allowed!

Carly Smithson - “Without You”
A while back Simon said THIS is the song for Carly to do so, she heard that and that's why she went with this one. We all know the judges keep telling her that she hasn't picked THE song yet so hopefully this is it! And in case there wasn't enough pressure..... Kelly Clarkson did this song during her season too.

David Archuleta - “When You Believe”
