Sporty shout out!

Well, I'm not trying to get all Sports Center on y'all but, I did want to take the time to give a couple of my home teams a little shout out!

I forgot what Dallas Stars hockey looks like, being that we have Direct tv with no local channels (we get NY crap) and now that the Stars are in the playoffs (holla!) I can actually see the game. So, go Stars! We won the first game against Anaheim and are currently playing game 2 tonight (btw, we just scored). So maybe the Stanley Cup will make it's way back to Dallas this year, I remember the last time it was here.. I was in high school and we (our band and drill team... I was in Belles) got to walk in the parade downtown to celebrate. We just got lucky because of our school colors! ;)



Then there's our dear old Mavericks.... The other night against the Jazz Dirk scored the final 3 points to help us clinch a spot in the playoffs, thank you Dirky ;) Final score of that game was 97-94, phew.. so close!

Of course everybody jokes about Dallas fans (whatever sport) being fair weather fans but, when the Mavericks pull crap like they did the last couple of years you can't help it!! We were so close to winning The Finals in 2006 I could actually taste it, then to no avail we lost to the Heat. Then last year we couldn't even get past the first round. We lost to the stinkin' Golden State Warriors, seriously?? So you can't help but feel burned and I know we should support our teams no matter what but..... you gotta win something for us at some point. Am I right?!

All doggin' aside I hope the Mavs and Stars do well in the post season and win us the Stanley Cup and the NBA Finals because you all know come February the Cowboys will be winning the Superbowl baby!!!!
