T-I-M-B-E-R

Long time no post, I know! We're in Dallas right now and have been super busy. So, I apologize to my oh so loyal readers... Well, like I said we have just been busy seeing this and doing that but, here's a quickie story on something that has happened since we've been here.

We happened to be at lunch the other day with my mom then we separated ways for a bit to run some errands. On the way to me and Micah's little run my mom called and said a neighbor called her to inform her that a tree had fallen on the house!!! Eek!! You have to know the neighborhood to know that this could be a scary thing. Lots of tall, OLD trees..... So it wasn't totally urgent to run home because the tree had just fallen on the roof of the carport, the house was just slightly covered and now shaded.

Anywho, it was quite a site to see (and still currently see). It's just strange to see a tree on our house I've seen them on other houses and even the last time I was here a tree from the yard across the street fell straight over and blocked the street until it was cleared. That tree was so large the tops of the limbs sat in our yard! yowza..... I guess that's the con of being in a neighborhood chock full of old trees!!!
