Rain, rain go away....

Slowly but, surely we are getting settled in this new house. We still feel like we are living amongst boxes and boxes but, like I said they are slowly disappearing! We can't wait until EVERYTHING is put together and in it's place! Micah put the crib together yesterday, it's cute but not dressed yet (I still have to wash everything).

We really had to figure out how to adjust our furniture in the living room too, we have such bulky (recliner) couches that it was quite the challenge. I'm not trying to brag either but, our old living room was enormous! It could accommodate everything and then some if we wanted..... boo!

So, as far as other challenges we have our bedroom furniture coming today and when we ordered it we knew the night stand was on backorder but, when they called to confirm delivery they also said our chest of drawers is too. At least we'll have the bed and dresser/mirror. I'm honestly ready for the mattress to be up off the floor..... like yesterday so I don't care what they bring!!!

Some more trials and tribulations..... we bought a really nice computer armoire from the Walmart website, it was delivered and a main part was literally cracked in half! Ugh... so Micah had to load both boxes (very heavy ones) into the van so we could return it to the store. Then I got back on their website this afternoon to re-order the desk and somehow they don't have it anymore. We just ordered that thing June 13th, seriously?!?!

As far as Landon's remaining nursery furniture, the 5-drawer chest should be delivered early next week (hopefully not broken) and the other two pieces will be that site-to-store thing Walmart does. Those two pieces are the changing table cabinet and hutch. I just hope since we chose to save shipping and have it sent to the store they don't dilly-dally and wait weekssss to ship it.

I do apologize for the lengthy and gripey post but, that's what's going on in our lives right now and I figured I would give y'all the update. Peachy keen or not! You know what they say though... when it rains it pours and it's definitely proven true these past couple a weeks!!

Also, I know it sounds like lots of furniture we have been getting but, obviously we needed the baby stuff but, all the rest were upgrades for us. We had hand-me-downs really ever since we got married and it was just kind-of time for us to do the whole.. "out with the old, in with the new" thing! Not that there is anything wrong with hand-me-downs but, we were ready for something new and a little "more us". :)
