Dark Knight = Long morning

Well, it sounds like everyone is making their way out to see Dark Knight somehow or someway. Gina, that's rough y'all saw that 12:00 am showing!! Well, Micah and I checked Yahoo this morning and they had showings starting as early as 9:15, then 9:45 and 10:30... cool right? Wrong! We got there anticipating the 9:15 showing but, when we pulled up we noticed a small group of folks waiting outside. Well, long story short the theater did not open until 10:20 and the first showing would not be until 11:20 after commercials and previews.... 11:40. Needless to say we stuck around because we all wanted to talk to the manager about how they are still advertising the early showings, which apparently were only for yesterday?? The whole issue is that this morning they still had those times on the internet, outdoor posters and digital marquee. I just have a problem with them saying these are the times but, not even having the theater open, am I right?!

We did end up getting free tickets but, I am still going to go the website and write a letter of concern or something because that whole time of waiting for the GM to show up (which he never did) was long and ridiculous. The supposed manager on duty this morning was not really understanding the issue of compensation.... since people were waiting since about 9:00 and there were also soldiers arriving in taxis from Benning to see the movie and much to their dismay they were being dropped off at a closed movie :( Plus, he said he was not authorized to give free tickets.... at that point their were so many soldiers standing around waiting for a resolution that he magically was able to "do it". Amazing huh?

So, after all the waiting and bru-ha-ha we finally got in and seated, oh and saw the movie! It was pretty long but, it was really good. Everyone is all a buzz about Heath Ledger's performance and there is a reason, he was so creepy and sinister as the Joker. Perfect villain. It was all very entertaining and worth the wait... this morning :) I just hope if any of you are going to see it, you can just buy your tickets and get right in!! Enjoy!
