This is more like a 'If you're from Texas' hootie. I just had to acknowledge all the Texas shout-outs I've observed recently. Face it, when you are from somewhere and proud of it you just can't help but, notice all the love! Oh by the way, if you aren't from the Tejas don't hate! It's just that there is Texas love everywhere!!
First, starts with Melissa on DWTS. Last night when they showed the rehearsal footage she was totally sporting her "Don't Mess With Texas" shirt. Hootie!
Second, is Glenn Beck's choice of location for the Tax Day Tea Party {which is tomorrow}, San Antonio. The Alamo to be specific. Which is totally gonna be awesome. Their video invitation rocked and since Glenn Beck will be joining them it's going to be sheer pandemonium!!! Hootie again!
Next, is about the comments Governor Rick Perry has just made. He is speaking out and sticking up for states' rights to the 10th Amendment. (the 10th Amendment being, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.") One of things he has said was, "'Millions of Texans are tired of Washington, D.C. trying to come down here to tell us how to run Texas" and that Texans are the ones that know how to run Texas. I just think it's great that he actually steps up and says this stuff although many people may not agree with it. Just sayin'... Hoot, hoot!
One more thing is actually the subject of an article I just saw on Yahoo! The teaser was which NFL team is going to be the one with the most tv games. Ha, and it wasn't the Houston Texans! C'mon y'all it was the COWBOYS!! duh.
from the article, it says: the Cowboys will open their new $1.1 billion stadium (on national tv) against the Giants on Sep 20. Also, the always popular Cowboys lead all teams with six nationally televised games. Can I get one last hootie?!
