It's that time of the year, summer. And you know what the summer is all about- the heat. But the summer and heat are like no other here in Louisiana!As you all know we are from Dallas and they seem to be in on the same 'heatwave' we are but, today was seriously ridiculous. Not like anybody would want to brag about who's hotter but, I checked our temps today for comparison sake...
This afternoon Dallas was at about 96/97 degrees but felt like (the heat index) 102! Ours in LA was 98/99 degrees and felt like 113!!
It has actually been quite a while since we have had any rain and finally tonight we had just a little bit, like twenty minutes or so. Usually around here that means it will be miserably humid but it cooled it down some and it's not completely unbearable at the moment. The temperature right now is actually 88 degrees but with the humidity it makes the heat index 99! I'll take a heat index of 99 over 113 any day!!
