This weekend we took a day trip to Shreveport to meet Landon's Mimi and Uncle Brian. We met up to get a play yard that the boys played in when they were babies, to borrow for Landon. He is all over the place now and the play yard will just help corral him when I have to do things that he doesn't need to be in (ie. loading the dishwasher, cleaning the cat box).
So back to the trip, we met for lunch then went over to the Louisiana Boardwalk. For those of you that don't know or have never been, it's an outdoor mall with a movie theater, restaurants and a HUGE Bass Pro Shop. And yes, I did say outdoor mall. I don't know who thought that it was a good idea in LA but, whatever! Luckily it's not ridiculously blazing hot... yet!
In addition to the shopping they have some outdoor activities too. Landon had his first ride on a carousel, Bubba and Brian also had a chance to do the bungee jumper thing too as you'll see in the slide show. There are also fountains and people playing instruments (guitar & saxophone) throughout the "mall" too. It's a pretty fun place to visit if you are in the area, definitely lots to do and see!

I love shreveport. I can't believe it, but after about 100 trips there and visiting the boardwalk, the casinos, bars, boutiques, museums and tiny out of the way restaurants, and the beautiful community my dad lives in, I love it there.
Lunch sometimes this week? Tomorrow works well for me. the coffee cuppboard or twin sister's?
