she says, “I love it! It’s like boot camp. You never work out more than 35 minutes, but it’s so intense. You do things like box jumps, then 50 sit-ups, then 50 squats and then running."
I thought that was kinda cool. Not just because she is a "celebrity" but to show exactly how ALL sorts of people do it. Which I think Kelly has totally kept it real and doesn't seem like she has let her success go to her head which gives me the impression that she really is "normal". Doesn't hurt she is a fellow Texan which makes me like her more! ;)
Kelly also says, “Me, my backup singers and my hair-and-make-up girl do it together. They laugh at me, because most of the time they’re like, ‘Oh, my God, I don’t want to go,’ and I’m the one saying, ‘I’m ready!’. It makes me feel like GI Jane. It’s very empowering. I feel like I can whup ass and in my shows, everybody has noticed. They’re like, ‘Dude, you have 100 per cent more energy!’”
Anywho, while in search of finding the snippet from that article I also discovered that Malin Ackerman (from The Heartbreak Kid, Watchmen) is a Crosfitter too and from rumblings I have read on the internet, Jessica Biel also. Both are bodies to envy, agree?!
(Malin Ackerman)
This is what Malin said, (it's on the People magazine website) "They have these CrossFit gyms where you have medicine balls, weight-lifting, rowing machines, [and] obstacle courses. I recommend going!"
Whether you Crossfit or not it shouldn't matter if celebrities do it but I do think it's kind of neat to hear about. Because it definitely is not a glamorous work out by any means! Those that do it will I'm sure agree. I guess it's kind of inspiring, know what I mean? When you lose momentum or that drive it's motivating to see these Hollywood gals going balls to the walls for their fitness regime.
What do you think? Is it motivating for you? Could celebrity endorsements drum up even more popularity? Any press is good press as they say! The kool aid is seeping in and soon everyone will be a part of this "cult"!! ;)

It's pretty cool to think that celebrities, who have all sorts of money for trainers and such, do crossfit! I think it's a testament to the results of crossfit!
You don't have to put cult in quotation marks. :) Ha ha!
I just read that on the figh gone bad page. I thought it was super cool. I think it might give people the wrong impression about CF though. Like because celebs do it, everyone will get those results, or that it's easy and glamorous.
