Are we being punked?!

Well I guess we officially have a 4th judge on Idol now. Have you heard who it is yet? Were you as surprised as me?! It's totally random but could be fun & interesting..... it's Ellen (yes, Ellen Degeneres)!

I think it will definitely be new and different. All the others (Simon, Randy and Kara) know the music industry but Ellen just 'knows' it as a regular person. She just knows what sounds good and what you can dance too!

I know that on her show she would always have a board with all the contestants and cross out who had been eliminated while also sharing her faves. I imagine that is done now that she is a judge, no showing favorites!!

So what do you think?! Do you like that (although she is a celeb) we have a civilian representative on the show?
