Confession time.

It finally hit me. I have been so full of blog farts lately on top of not devoting a little love to my poor old blog. Within the last few months of getting back onto my Facebook and actually using it and adding new & old friends, my poor baby blog has been so neglected! I think it's because alot of people that I have on my Facebook are also readers of my blog, so I if I post stuff on FB first it rarely makes it to Fiddlesticks! So as you can see confession #1 is that Facebook has been the one stealing time from my blog!
I know what you are thinking... that sounds SO lazy and yes, in a way it sorta is but then on the other hand finding time is the kicker! Landon has worked his way up to one nap a day (mid-day). Which basically means the "free time" I have when he is asleep is time to eat lunch, clean and whatever else needs to be done while he's not trying to get into it!

So in a nutshell *in your best Mick Jagger voice* tiiiimmmmee is NOT on my side!! LOL I'd also like to say I admire you mommies who work outside of the home and tend to your blog. You rock!

So like I said Landon has moved to one nap a day and when he is not napping he is all over the place! You know when people say oh when they start walking that's it! Well, you never really want to hear that or admit but it's totally true! Well, at least for my son ;) Y'all this child is the next Evel Knievel! Not only does he love running and chasing the dogs (specifically Shiner) he is becoming a master at climbing on stuff. He now can get on the couches with no help or stepping on something, sometimes he'll put his foot on the entertainment center like he is about to scale it and even the baby gates blocking the room off! I mean seriously... what's next?!

Which leads me to my next confession. I don't really think it's a confession since y'all have seen pictures and I have made comments but.. drum roll please- I leash my child!! It's weird because it seems like most comments made from childless parents say, I would never use one. Then parents with non-walkers but well on there way kinda feel the same-ish. By the way that was not to diss anyone's family status OR leash opinions it's just what I have encountered since we stated "leashing" Landon. Fast forward to the parents with a child that has mastered walking and all that goes out the window! I'll admit when you are out people will look or even say ha, he's on a leash and it does feel a little strange at first not to see something furry with a waggin' tail on the end but I DON'T CARE!! Don't look at us then!!Let's face it, Landon is learning tons and communicating more and more everyday (in his own way) but although he knows his name that does not mean he is going to respond or acknowledge you when you say it. Also, now that he is so good at walking he wants a little bit more freedom instead of being strapped to the stroller the whole trip. So those two pretty much lead you to the leash. He can have his freedom but be close and safe while also learning how to listen. This isn't an apology either for why we use one but more of an explanation in case maybe you don't know us well or our son!

One last thing, my blogoversary is coming up at the end of November.... two whole years! I have written around 610 posts full of well.. silly nonsense most of the time!
