Rumor, Info and News...

Another rumored person that could possibly take the place of Samantha Harrison as co-host on DWTS is Mel B (aka Scary Spice). It was recently reported that she did her screen test this past week. I just think it's weird that they are still 'auditioning' for the co-host replacement. The show starts on March 22nd!! Could they not have been doing all this earlier?? Like as soon as Samantha resigned??

As far as the info pertaining to DWTS, I just found out that there are actually only going to be 11 contestants this season as opposed to 16. Are they running out of B-List people who need to revive their career? Maybe so..... ;) I'm only joking!!

Also, in case you have a favorite pro chances are they may not be back this time around. With the Stars going from 16 to 11 we are obviously down a few dancers. Some confirmed pros that are not returning are Lacey Schwimmer, Jonathan Roberts and Karina Smirnoff. I'm not completely distraught about losing those girls though, a-t-t-i-t-u-d-e!!!

Now for the news... it's not Dancing related btw. This could also still fall under the 'gossip' label too so shoot me! It was rumored for a while that Simon Cowell was finally going to settle down (yeah right), but the big gossip sites are confirming that he is indeed engaged to Mezghan Hussainy, make-up artist for American Idol. I guess they have been an item for a while and this was the next step. Who would have thought he would actually take that step though?! I guess congrats if it's true!

On that note I am really going to miss Simon when he leaves Idol. It WILL NOT be the same w/out him!! I do like the addition of Ellen, since she's kinda speaking for all the regular folks who watch. But the tension between her and Simon..... it's unbearably awkward!!! It's pretty obvious that they don't get along and he has already "checked out"!!
