This is just disturbing.

So Micah and I were watching/listening to this countdown on VH1, the 100 Greatest Hard Rock songs. It was a very entertaining and very excellent countdown, which left us debating if some of the songs were actually hard rock or not. For example there was a Journey song, Jimi Hendrix folks like that who you wouldn't normally categorize as hard rock. I obviously was not around during the time that these songs came out but, I know them and like them. It got us to thinking, what else during that time would have been hard rock?? Journey and Jimi are of course classic rock to us now but, don't you think they deserve to be in this countown? (the songs were Anyway You Want It & Hey Joe). There were tons of other "classic" rock groups those were just a couple examples :)


Anyways, that was my countdown soapbox... on to the disturbing news. Bret Michaels hosted this whole countdown and I don't know if the Rock of Love series has sumblinal messages or if I just watched too much countdown but, he's growing on me. Like, when I see him I think.... he's kinda cute. Can you believe that? This long-haired, eye liner wearing, 80's rock star. How gross is that?! I think VH1 is tainting my brain....



Update: Upon googling the song list, it seems like there are lots of other people debating what the actual definition of HARD rock is. Apparently we are not the only ones who were debating this!
