Now let me tell you, I don't eat Paleo and Micah doesn't really either. Really because we eat dairy and paleo is strictly meat, fruits & veggies. I'm sorry but I can't do it! No milk, cheese, yogurt cottage cheese, etc... sounds miserable unless you absolutely have to for personal or dietary reasons.
Anywho, some of the recipes are called caveman cookies or caveman custard, which I made last night and it was yummy! It's only ingredients were eggs, bananas and cocunut milk (plus a little vanilla I added). The desserts are not totally sinful indulgences but if you are eating Paleo or Zone diet-ish they make for a nice little treat. Something to satisfy your sweet tooth :) Most of the desserts are dairy free, gluten free all that crap! Next up to try out is the cheesecake.
As far as the food-food, I made a bacon explosion this weekend! Here is the original bacon explosion recipe which is made with fatty bacon and Italian sausage as filler meat. Grok's version is much more friendly on the body and nutrition-wise. Since we live in an area with limited grocery options we got everything at Walmart, I went with low sodium bacon and ground turkey for the inside (instead of grass fed beef) as well as onions and green bell peppers.
All in all it turned out pretty good. It's just like a meatloaf wrapped in bacon. The only changes I would make for next time are to crumble cooked bacon (for the center) like the original recipe calls for. I'm already not a huge regular bacon fan (I love turkey bacon) so the 'noncrispy' bacon inside kinda bugged me! Here our some pictures of our baby bacon explosion!

Don't forget the no bread thing. I was pretty ok without dairy. It was bread that I had problems with. I did it for a few months and it wasn't miserable but it was more effort than I wanted to put into food. When I was working, I had to pre-cook my lunch and cook breakfast every day. it was a lot of work.
Don't like real bacon? Holy crap, I think it's the only reason I'd never be a vegitarian!! ahaha
whoops! Duh, I wasn't even thinking about bread! Another crappy side of it!
I like bacon but I'm just weird about it, like if it's too fatty. I hate when it's not crispy enough!!
Then you'd like bacon MY way lol. I cook it crispy but not burnt. And I go out of my way for the good stuff.
